Massimiliano Ionata in Argos16.
One of the greatest Italian saxophonists active in Europe and in the world, stage companion of greats such as Mike Stern, Billy Hart, Alvin Queen, Roberto Gatto, presents himself exclusively in Venice with a superfine quartet composed by Marcello Tonolo (Kenny Clarke, Lee Konitz, Massimo Urbani and Enrico Rava), Marc Abrams (Chet Baker, Al Foster), Max Verrillo.
An ensemble that was born within the walls of the Pollini Conservatory of Padua of which they are all teachers with the exception of Max Verrillo, a former student now firmly among the greats.
The concert will unfold between original compositions and reinterpretations of the great jazz classics.
