One of the most bizarre and improbable Italian rock bands ever, so much so that they were the first European group to be included in the roster of Sub Pop, the legendary label of Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney and Shins. Over the years they have amassed a long and heterogeneous list of fans (including names like Graham Coxon , Jarvis Cocker, Julian Cope, Mars Volta and members of Architecture in Helsinki and Dandy Warhols) which has transformed them into one of the best known Italian indie bands in the world. abroad.
The group, founded in 1999 by the singer-songwriter and producer Marco Fasolo, brought its psychedelic sound to stages around the world during the first two thousand years, through tours and important sold outs in the United States, Asia and Europe, obtaining acclaim from critics and the public . Over the years, the formation of Jennifer Gentle has hosted musicians such as Alessio Gastaldello of the Mamuthones, Paolo Mongardi of Zeus! and Luca and Alberto Ferrari of the Verdenas.
In 2013 Fasolo launched the studio project Universal Daughters, with which he released the album Why hast Thou forsaken me, a collection of covers belonging to the Anglo-American tradition and performed by an international cast which includes Jarvis Cocker, Chris Robinson, of the Black Crowes, Alan Vega, Verdena, Mark Arm of Mudhoney and Gavin Friday.
2019 marks the great return of Jennifer Gentle with a new album after almost ten years of recording silence. In the disc of the same name, distributed by La Tempesta, the unmistakable sound of Fasolo’s project is relived, made of hallucinatory and acidic atmospheres worthy of the first Pink Floyd, combined with rock’n’roll rhythms and garage distortions, without disdaining moments of melancholy that refer to genres related to the Afro-American tradition such as gospel and blues.

The Universal Sex Arena opens the dance, among the leading names of the Italian alternative psych scene, led by the songwriting of the singer Voiture Tempo.
Through their physical, mechanical and urgent performances, the band has made the involvement and contact with the public during live its strong point, arriving to play everywhere in Italy, even at the opening of groups like Verdena, !!! and GDP.
Their third album, ‘Abdita’ is also their first album to be released on the London label Kowloon. His songs are an explosion of tropical percussion, odd tempos, angular guitars and schizophrenic arrangements.
