Quarta Parete presents Giovanni Dinello’s live soundtracks of the avant-garde short films by Germaine Dulac, Man Ray and Walter Ruttmann.
Argo16 has always been a place of music and experimentation, which is why it is the best space for an event in which the most daring forms of 1920s cinema are enriched with unprecedented sound tones.
Quarta Parete is a collective born among university students eager to bring cinema back to cinema. Over time, the goal has been redefined: to bring cinema back.
Giovanni Dinello is a Venetian musician and sound artist, graduated in Electronic Music at the “B. Marcello ”in Venice after attending Music Technology and Composition courses at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He is co-founder of VER-V, a non-profit cultural association dedicated to the exploration of new models of experimentation and artistic production in Venice.
Leonardo Sebastiani is a Venetian musician and sound artist. After a long period of classical training, he gradually approaches electronic music. In his live shows, through the use of a mixed set-up, Drone-Ambient atmospheres blend with the purest Techno sounds, creating soundscapes suspended between club music and more meditative situations.
