The last appointment of the year with Friday night jams features the MAT, a trio made up of Marcello Allulli, Francesco Diodati and Ermanno Baron. In their profound musical research, acoustic and electronic sounds blend inextricably into a musical tale made up of poignant ballads, tight rhythms and dreamlike abstractions.

MAT (IT)
A total mutual trust that translates into concerts full of emotional tension, where rapid bursts of noise alternate with lyrical moments and choruses of sinuous melodies overlap with complex rhythmic interlockings: MAT is a sound jet with extreme dynamics that keep you in suspense until to the last note.
The trio was born in 2007 and soon became noticed for its profound and unscrupulous research in which acoustic and electronic sounds blend inextricably. On the other hand, their path speaks clearly: an education that began in conservatories, in jazz and classical music seminars and workshops, which developed between frequent informal sessions, artistic residencies, trips and concerts all over the world.
In 2021 the fourth album “”In front of”” was released for the prestigious Tuk Music, a story of 8 chapters where all the musicians are authors, performers and arrangers. The album is the synthesis of an ever-moving thought that has led the MAT to be a group where each member is an active and thinking part of every detail; the result of the research of three people who need to continually question themselves musically and work together on the mystery that music and art bring with them. The sound of the trio as an organic unicum is in fact the common thread through which to follow a musical story made of poignant ballads, tight rhythms, dreamlike abstractions.
