LuckIsOn
Jan Jakomin better known by his moniker lan F. is of a rare type. The Slovenian producer, DJ, label head, and promoter has been putting in the hours since the early 2000s, not just refining his own craft, but also figuring out ways to foment and build community in the process. From the time he was 13 and picking up dodgy signals of Italian radio stations on the seaside to his teen years spent at raves, Jan has been searching out the deeper, loopier, and headsier spectrum of dance music.
His latest project is LucklsOn, a new label he launched in 2018. Arriving as a mysterious 12″, the first release started turning heads for its hypnotic, but quirky grooves that had just the right amount of Detroit-flavored melancholy to keep dancers stargazing.
BACKGROUND RIMINI (IT)
Since 2018, the Background Rimini project has united artists and promoters determined to share their passion and musical research. To date, the collective runs a series of podcasts, a label of the same name and a series of events with the aim of promoting local and non-local realities.
IUS (IT)
Opificio
DJ from Venice. His sound and his personality shift between the sweeter touch of breakbeat style to deeper electronic explorations. Evolving an initial imprinting of Detroit techno influenced genres he embodies contaminations that reach progressive/acid soundscapes as well as faster and more energetic UK-ish styles.
Expect a spirit-wise oriented selection with a whole real world issued negative/positive covering of sensations.
